People are using lyrics from the 5-year-old track “Draco” to prank unassuming recipients. For some reason, TikTokers are texting excerpts from the chorus just to mess with people. The trend has become so popular it’s garnered disdain from many unwilling participants.

What is the “Draco season with the bookbag” song on TikTok?

The sound was uploaded by user @simplysaturnn but is actually a snippet of the 2017 song “Draco” by the rapper Future. According to Genius, the lyric refers to an incident where the Soulja Boy pulled out a Draco (a kind of semi-automatic pistol) from a Buscemi bookbag during an argument with rapper Rico Recklezz.

In the viral clip of the song Future raps, “Draco season with the bookbag / Rat tat, got a little kickback / Hundreds on hundreds got a good batch.”

TikTok decided to turn the lyrics into a bizarre trend to prank people with. There are currently over 116,000 videos associated with the sound.

People, like @unbannedjep, are sending the lyrics over text messages just to confuse people with the utter randomness of it.

“POV: A random number texts you ‘Draco season with the bookbag” at 3 a.m.” @mikerespesctsladies said in a skit poking fun at the trend.

Meanwhile, another user was living out their nightmare when they got pranked with the lyrics.

Another user, @prettyboychristiann, claimed his girlfriend ended up calling the cops after someone did the trend to her. The so-called prankster sent some strange photos of @prettyboychristiann to her.
