Dave & Busters has announced an array of food and drink specials after a recent poor performance in the second quarter.

According to food industry publication FSR, the chain posted a 6.3% drop in systemwide comps in the second quarter. While sales rose 5.8% when compared to 2019, its same store sales were down 10.3% in the first quarter, 14.1% in the fourth quarter of 2022, and 17.5% in the third quarter of 2022.

FSR said Dave & Buster’s CEO Chris Morris has led the company to make changes to its offerings to customers, including a number of specials and discounts throughout the week.

The Dave & Buster’s location at 4110 Belden Village Mall Circle NW in Jackson Township is offering the deals at its spot.

Available Monday through Friday starting this week are $5 happy hour specials on food and drinks. The $5 bites include fried pickles, Cantina nachos, cheese flatbread and queso fries. The $5 drinks are a Tres Tequila Rita; glass of wine; Backwoods Blueberry Lemonade; D&B Long Island Tea; and 22-ounce domestic drafts. Some of the food items do not appear on the regular appetizer menu, or are smaller versions of menu items.

A $5 late night happy hour includes the offerings from both happy hour menus listed above.

For football fans, pints of beer are available for $3.99 on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays during games.

On Monday and Thursday after 4 p.m., all-you-can-eat wings are available for $22.99.

Other specials include half price on games all day Wednesday. Restrictions apply, such as the offer does not include virtual reality games or photo booths.

The company also has made changes to the digital power cards it sells for those who play games at the facility. The amounts sold on the cards have moved from $5 increments to such amounts as $20 (for 100 chips), $40 (225 chips), or $100 (for 750 chips). Those purchasing the cards must be ages 17 or older.
