Dakota Johnson is ringing in the start of New York Fashion Week by blending the best of today’s hottest trends.
While partying with Bulgari in New York last night, the Madame Web star invoked the see-through trend with a sophisticated chocolate brown slip. The slinky Gucci dress featured a V-shaped neckline, a black lace bust, and a floor-grazing hemline. But that wasn’t the only trendy piece she put on.
Indeed, the actor is the latest celebrity to endorse the boho revival, as evidenced by her choice in Bulgari jewelry. She opted for a pink gold chain necklace that carried a massive pendant set with pavé diamonds. A closer look at the pendant revealed a bronze coin, styled after ancient Roman currency. To match, she added a bronze coin watch.
The boho revival has been well on its way, with other A-listers like Jennifer Lopez, Katie Holmes, and Suki Waterhouse all giving the trend resurgence their stamps of approval.
As for Johnson, the actor previously opened up about the philosophy that guides her fashion and style habits in a 2021 interview with Elle UK, revealing that she gravitates less towards trends and more towards clothes that tap into something personal within her.
“To go out into the world, do hair and make-up and wear an outfit to look a certain way, it's super jarring,” she explained to the magazine. “So to wear clothes in which I feel like myself is vital. I feel like Ok this is a version of me.”
