Channing Tatum is finding a bit of humor in a recurring travel experience.

The Blink Twice star, 44, opened up about how one of his famous movie lines from 22 Jump Street has turned into a meme and follows him everywhere — even airport security — during an interview with CinemaBlend and his co-star Naomi Ackie on Aug. 21.

“It’s weird what happens in pop culture like that, you know? Same with ‘My name is Jeff.’ It’s such a small moment in the movie,” he says of the 2014 comedy. “I remember we did a table read and it wasn’t even that funny at the table read. It was like whatever. And all of a sudden, man.”

Ackie then chimes in, “It goes to show you can’t try and be a meme. You’ve just got to be, and then if the meme comes, the meme comes.”

Tatum goes on to share how the famous quote is even brought up when he’s going through security at the airport.

“I’ve never went through TSA without somebody saying, ‘My Name Is Jeff,’” he says. “Almost every single time I go through TSA.”

Earlier in August, the actor opened up about another funny travel story — but this time, it stemmed from his 11-year-old daughter’s love of the paranormal.

During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Tatum recalled taking his daughter Everly, whom he shares with ex-wife Jenna Dewan, on a trip to Salem, Mass. as she’s “obsessed” with witches.

“She’s been wanting to go to Salem maybe for the last seven years of her life,” he said of the New England town known for its infamous witch trials. “And we get there, and I’m like ‘Maybe this will be one of those moments where she’s like ‘Oh, it’s not what I thought.’ You know?”

He continued, “It’s like the idea of going to Egypt, and thinking that there’s just mummies walking around all the time. And I was like, ‘Maybe she will just be, like, kind of less mesmerized.’”

Despite his hope, Tatum said his daughter was really “leaning in” to all the spooky activities once they arrived, including during their stay at Salem’s “haunted” Hawthorne Hotel.

The historic landmark was established in 1925 and appeared on the classic TV show Bewitched, according to its website. It is known for its paranormal activity, as guests have reported furniture moving on its own, as well as sightings of a female figure on the sixth floor, according to Historic Hotels of America.

“They were like, ‘Don’t go to the third floor or the sixth floor,’” Tatum recalled the hotel staff’s warning at the time. While the actor was fully prepared to follow their advice, he said Everly couldn’t stay away from the haunted floor.

“My daughter was just like, ‘Let’s just go up there a little bit. Like, let’s just go up and walk up the stairs and, like, look for a second and then run back down,'” he said.

“No. I’m not about it. I’m like, ‘You go up there,’” Tatum told host Seth Meyers, shaking his head emphatically.
