'American Idol' Star Noah Thompson Called Out HunterGirl for Being "Annoying" on IG

Noah Thompson learned the hard way that HunterGirl doesn't back down easily.

The American Idol 2022 winner jumped on the latest TikTok trend, which involves calling out celebrities in various categories. In a short video posted on Instagram and TikTok, Noah named actress Megan Fox as his celebrity crush, country singer Jimmie Allen as the nicest celebrity he’s met, and American Idol judge Luke Bryan as the coolest celebrity he’s met.

But the “Stay” singer caught folks by surprise when he claimed that HunterGirl was the most annoying celebrity he's encountered. After showing a photo of her from American Idol, a hand suddenly appeared from the right side of the screen and flicked the side of Noah’s head. “… and this is why,” he added.

Like the rest of the celebrities named, Noah kept a smile on his face when he called out the American Idol 2022 runner-up, hinting that he was just kidding around. What’s more, he broke out into laughter after HunterGirl’s payback.

Still, some American Idol fans think HunterGirl let Noah off the hook. “@huntergirlmusic I feel a prank war needs to be started between y’all 😂😂,” one person wrote in Noah’s Instagram comments. “🤣😂🤣😂 you got jokes 🤣😂🤣😂 looks like she got the last flick in 😂🤣😂🤣,” another added.

Although dating rumors between the two have been swirling for quite some time, Noah's previously declared that they’re just best friends. Recently speaking with Hollywood Life, Noah opened up about his friendship with HunterGirl (whose real name is Hunter Wolkonowski) and detailed how the two became close.

“Me and Hunter got extremely close towards the end, probably from top 10 on,” Noah told the outlet. “We had our trailers side by side and everything. We kind of talked each other through each day. We were just there for one another."

He continued: “Me and Hunter are best friends — we’ve been best friends ever since then and we’ll always be there for each other. You kind of need that in doing this. We’re just there for each other like that.”
