Sometimes you just want to carry the bare essentials. Phone, keys, wallet, with nothing else weighting down your pockets. But what if we went a step further... What if (hear us out) we combined it all. Or, at least combine the phone and the wallet. It's possible with a wallet phone case, but a MagSafe wallet even slimmer and more simple.

Apple's MagSafe tech—which allows you to snap an iPhone 12 or later to a slew of accessories, like chargers, holders, and desk setups—has been a great addition on the last few models of iPhone. And the MagSafe wallet is maybe our favorite use of this new piece of tech. When you only want to bring a few cards, snap your wallet on and go. These wallets won't replace your regular wallet, be it luxury or RFID-blocking. Think of a MagSafe wallet as your night out wallet. It keeps everything together, and only carries the essentials, typically just three-four cards.

Since it's such a popular piece of tech, there are fucking thousands of options across the internet, and a lot of them (sorry!) are garbage. They're ugly, and they're not built to last. But, there are some great products out there. It's just about digging for it. As our duty to you, we sifted through it all to find the 10 best MagSafe wallets money can buy.

Detachable Wallet

The standard capacity for MagSafe wallets is three cards, enough for you to go out with an ID, debit, and credit card. Fine, really.

But what if you want to bring a few bills? And don't want them loose in your pocket? That's where Otterbox comes in. Of the big brands, this is the only one that makes a MagSafe wallet with a concealed pocket for cash. It's a small improvement, but one that we really appreciate.

Native Union are really the name in good looking phone accessories, and that's no different in the world of MagSafe wallets. The brand makes a classy-looking MagSafe wallet. That's it!

It's actually so simple, that the wallet gets our best overall award for the things it is not. It's not bulky, there's no large branding, and there's no bright colors to choose from. It's simple, slim, and made with quality leather.

Mod Phone Case + Wallet

The makers of one of our favorite RFID-blocking wallets actually makes a great MagSafe phone case and wallet combo. Bellroy's Mod pack gives you a wallet that's nearly identical to the leather and magnetic closure of its popular Flip Case. That means your cards are actually enclosed within the wallet, making this the most discreet option on the list.

The leather gives it a premium feel, and the matching case looks really nice. The only downside is that it ends up being a tad bulkier than other wallet-only options.

Sartorial MagSafe Wallet

When you need a luxe leather accessory, you turn to Montblanc. It's really that simple. The leather is nicer than anything on this list. The navy color looks phenomenal on any of the new iPhone Pros. And, it's not going to fall apart after a few uses.

It's expensive, but in our experience, it's well-worth the price.

Card Case

Hey, sometimes you want everyone to know exactly how you're rocking. At this point, nothing is as unmistakably luxury as Bottega's Intreccio weave. You know someone who owns, or wants to own, an Intreccio bag, wallet, or laptop case.

For a MagSafe wallet, Bottega has done the weave in a few colors in this silicon material. It looks good, screams luxury, and it's easy to clean. No, it's not sleek, but if you're interested in it, you don't care about flying under the radar.

A(i)mants MagSafe Card Holder

The only thing better than an Hermès cardholder is an Hermès cardholder that sticks to your phone. This convenient MagSafe wallet is a timeless leather good, and you'd be giving your phone case a huge upgrade by sticking an Hermès accessory on it, too.

MagSafe Wallet and Stand

The wallet here is great: Ultra thin, comes in nice colors, and holds as much as any other MagSafe wallet. The real standout, which makes it our most versatile pick, is the stand function. Pop it out, and you can prop your phone up vertical or horizontal. Sure... it looks a bit lame, but when you're traveling and streaming on your phone, the ability to set it up hands free becomes a godsend.

FineWoven MagSafe Wallet

As with any iPhone accessory, the most obvious pick is Apple's in-house model. Its MagSafe wallet is slim, discreet, and keeps that Apple branding. It's pretty simple. It holds three cards, and it stays out of your way. Not much to complain about.

The only issue we have is Apple's new FineWoven material. This wallet used to be made out of leather—you can still buy those leather versions for resale. FineWoven is part of Apple's new sustainability push, but in its first iteration, it just feels a little cheap and the outer membrane tends to peel off easily. That said, if you're only using this MagSafe wallet on certain occasions, the FineWoven material is good for that.

Pelican MagSafe Wallet

And as always, Pelican has some sort of solution for the outdoors people. The brand—known for it's water-tight cases used by professional photographers, explorers, and DJs—collaborate on a MagSafe wallet with Case-Mate. The result is just a pelican case for the back of your phone.

Pelican's famous polypropylene case and snap closure give this thing an IPX4 rating. It's not as heavy duty as the brand's submergible cases, but it's as rugged a MagSafe wallet as you'll find. It's an easy option to bring along on a hiking, fishing, or camping trip.

Custom MagSafe Wallet

You probably know Casetify from their protective yet slim cases, and their MagSafe wallets carry that tradition on. The brand has a ton of options to choose from, but the standout favorite is this customizable leather option. You can choose the base color, a font, text, and layout, so you get a one-of-a-kind wallet that matches perfectly with your phone and aesthetic.

What to Consider When Buying a MagSafe Wallet

Really, it's so much more simple than a regular RFID-blocking, AirTag, or luxury wallet. Truthfully, all you need this thing to do is stick to your phone via magnet and look good. That said, these were our testing criteria:

Looks - Any wallet is a personality statement, but a MagSafe wallet is a very visible personality statement. This is why I'm recommending a Montblanc option or an Hermès option. This thing is on display, make sure it looks good.

Durability - Also wrapped up in that is durability. Montblanc and Hermès make leather options that'll last forever. OtterBox does the same with plastic. All the options on this list have been vetted for durability.

Price - This probably isn't a wallet you're going to use every day. This is for the bar, the gym, or somewhere you want to go minimalist. This is not an everyday driver.
