'My Life With The Walter Boys' Author Ali Novak Hinted About A Season 2 Online
Netflix's newest hit TV show, a coming-of-age romance called My Life with the Walter Boys, has been taking the streamer by storm since premiering on Dec. 7. The 10-part series quickly climbed Netflix's charts and has been sitting pretty in the spot for No. 1 TV show in the U.S. But the cliffhanger ending has fans dying to know what happens next. So one has to wonder: will there be another season of Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez) and the Walters?
My Life with the Walter Boys, an adaption of Ali Novak's book by the same name, follows newly-orphaned, 15-year-old Jackie as she is forced to leave her Manhattan life behind to move in with the Walters, an enormous family in rural Colorado. Jackie has to adjust to her new life after the loss of her family while also figuring out how to live among so many Walter boys (there are nine in total!).
The show is in turns chaotic and cute, and it features the perfect amount of awkward teen love and drama. However, the ending has left fans somewhat disappointed, because it doesn't actually give a clear answer to some pretty big questions.

Will there be a second season of 'My Life with the Walter Boys'?
Netflix hasn't confirmed a sequel to My Life with the Walter Boys yet. So, it's still not clear if fans will be seeing Jackie, Cole, Alex, and the rest of the Walters on screen for a new season of drama in the future.
The series only just landed on the platform December 7, so it's likely the streamer has been waiting to see how it performs before even starting talks about a future project related to the show.
The first season has taken a while to complete. On X (formerly Twitter), one user put together a timeline showing the first time an announcement was made about a potential show being made out of the book (in 2017) up until the first trailer release (in 2023). That's almost six years that the project was in the works.
What has the author said?
On Ali Novak's website's FAQ page, she provided an interesting answer to a question posed by readers: "Is there going to be a published sequel to My Life with the Walter Boys?"
Ali responded: "In the past I've said there won't be a published sequel. However, now that the show has been released on Netflix, I may or may not be working on something exciting! Keep your eyes peeled for exciting news by following me on Twitter and Instagram."
TBH, that doesn't sound like a resounding "no"!
There could be a hint online, too, as Ali's Goodreads profile lists an untitled sequel to the book. A summary of the second season reads, "The official sequel will be in Jackie's POV and will pick up where the first story left off."
