Lexington shopping news: Women’s fashion boutique store to open in Fayette Mall

A new women’s fashion boutique store will be opening in Lexington in approximately two weeks.

Versona, which sells women’s apparel, jewelry and accessories, will open on Oct. 27 at the Fayette Mall. The store will be located near Hollister.

“Versona promises to be a fun shopping experience where women can find unique, on-trend styles at a great value,” said John Cato, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer for the Cato Corporation. “We’re excited about our newest Versona store opening at Fayette Mall.

As of July 30, Cato, a publicly traded North Carolina company, has 1,312 stores in 32 states. They operate three retail concepts mostly in the south: Cato, It’s Fashion and Versona. There are 131 Versona stores across the country.

According to a press release from the Cato, Versona offers exceptional prices for everything needed to complete a high-quality outfit.

“Customers will enjoy an upscale shopping environment in an easy-to-shop format,” the press release said.

The store hours are 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon-6 p.m. on Sunday. It will be the third Versona store in Kentucky, with the other locations in Louisville and Paducah.
