Memorial Day service at Lexington Cemetery

Lexington Cemetery, in conjunction with Lexington National Cemetery, will honor the men and women who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, including those who made the ultimate sacrifice, with an annual Memorial Day Observance 11 a.m. May 27. The public is invited to join the veterans of the American Legion Man o’ War Post No. 8, its Auxiliary, the American Legion Man o’War Post 8 Honor Guard, and the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War Camp No. 5 for the observance including presentation of The Colors, playing of “Taps,” a ceremonial firing detail, and remarks by Major (Retired) Dwayne A. EKU to Honor Fallen Veterans on Memorial Day

Eastern Kentucky University will honor fallen veterans 8 a.m. May 27 as a part of EKU’s Fallen Soldier Dog Tag Project.
