Lexington New Year’s Eve bar, restaurant guide: Party options from fancy to dance-y

New Year’s Eve is coming and there will be plenty of events and places to party in and around Lexington to celebrate.

The holiday falls on a weekend again this year, so local bars and restaurants are ready for the parties.

Here is a list and guide of some of the places you could go out to, whether you’re looking to dress up, get down, party in the suburbs or celebrate downtown.

The Kentucky Castle

230 Pisgah Pike in Versailles; The Kentucky Castle is hosting “New Year’s Eve: A Black Tie Affair,” beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets $200-$400 per person, includes hors d’oeuvres, premium three-course dinner, three drinks at the bar and a champagne toast at midnight. The Grand Reserve

903 Manchester St. at 903 Venues, The Grand Reserve will host Kelly’s All Black Attire New Year’s Eve Party beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $100-$140, including free beer and liquor from 8 p.m. to midnight. 21c Museum Hotel

167 W. Main St.; 21c will host NYE at 21c, beginning at 8:30 p.m. with live music by Lauren Mink Band. Tickets are $100-$125, includes champagne, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and a cash bar. Fiddletree Kitchen & Bar

444 Parkway Dr.; Fiddletree Kitchen & Bar will have live music by Ashley Renae, 7:30 to 10 p.m.

369 W. Vine St.; Hilton Lexington/Downtown will have a New Year’s Celebration starting at 7:30 p.m. featuring DJ Leon. Tickets are $100 per person/$75 child under 12.

Embassy Suites Lexington

1801 Newtown Pike; Embassy Suites Lexington at UK Coldstream will host a New Year No Fear event from 5 to 9 p.m.

Wise Bird Cider

1170 Manchester St.; Wise Bird Cider will host a ’70s disco party beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Distillery District with a food buffet by Little Fork, cider Jell-o shots, music, drag show and cost contest MC’d by Benita Bloom. 501 W. Sixth St.; West Sixth Brewing is bringing back its big New Year’s Eve party, beginning at 7 p.m.. Tickets are $100-$200. Reservations recommended.
