Lexington Burger Week is back. Here’s the menu and where to find $7 burgers

One of Lexington’s messiest foodie events is back: Lexington Burger Week returns for seven days.

Known for giving local burger fans a chance to try out unusual flavor combinations and great meat at a terrific price point, Lexington Burger Week is traditionally a big summer hit. It’s put together by Smiley Pete Productions, which charges restaurants a participation fee.

This year, there are 30 local restaurants serving 41 burgers. Last year there were 36 restaurants serving 40 burgers.

There are some ground rules: The special burgers often sell out, so you may have to settle for something else. Restaurants will be busy, so you may have to wait. And you’re encouraged to order something besides the special menu burger.

This year’s event will be July 10-16 and burgers will cost $7 each, according to the website.

If you’re really into burgers, you can get the Lexington Burger Week app, where you can see Braxton Brewing Co. beer pairings and upload your passport for chances to win prizes including the Ultimate Grill Out from the KY Beef Council or free burgers for year from Drake’s and Harry’s.
