Letter: Chasing JFK, on his last Sunday in Palm Beach

On the last Sunday before his death, John F. Kennedy sat behind my family at St. Ann Church, where I believe he went to avoid the paparazzi at St. Edward, his usual church.

When leaving, he jumped into his convertible Lincoln, leaving his Secret Service agents behind (much to their chagrin!) We followed him, racing down Flagler Drive to the Palm Beach bridge. It was quite an exciting morning for us, and an extremely sad time the following weekend of his death.
