Letter: Bring back Paul Ryan or Newt Gingrich for Speaker of the House

If the Republicans in the House of Representatives, who barely outnumber the Democrats, continue to fail to elect a speaker of the House from among their own members, I suggest they choose one from outside their membership, which is legal and constitutional.

I suggest their choosing a former member of the House of Representatives, and a former Speaker of the House, such as Paul Ryan or Newt Gingrich, who formerly led a conservative consensus, which was good for the country.
