Lena Headey has exited the production of Svalta, with the Game of Thrones star being replaced by Aisling Bea.

As reported by Deadline, the change is due to a scheduling conflict, with Bea set to join Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz star Nick Frost in the film.

Svalta will follow a family as they take a vacation on a remote island, but not all is as it seems as a serial killer is on the loose. To make matters worse, the locals have no interest in helping the outsiders, leaving the group to fend for themselves.

Bea and Frost will be joined in the cast by Heartstopper’s Sebastian Croft and newcomer Maisie Ayres, with Steffen Haars directing a script penned by Frost. Production reportedly took place in Finland, with post-production set to begin in the UK soon.

Bea, a comedian best known for her appearances on Taskmaster and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, has turned to acting in recent years with roles in Doctor Who and Take That musical Greatest Days.

Headey is best known for her role as Cersei Lannister in the HBO show, with the character meeting a grisly end as she was buried in rubble alongside brother Jaime. The star recently spoke about the death of her character, revealing she envisaged a different scenario.

"I think all of us did, to be honest," she said. "You start trying to write the story yourself. [Arya Stark actress Maisie Williams] and I would fantasise about a Cersei and Arya showdown; that she would come back as Jaime.

"That was our dream. But they made different choices. I think in hindsight, everybody understands that [the final season was rushed]. You’re in it, and you’ve been so invested, there’s a moment of, 'Why?' But I absolutely get it."

Svalta currently has no release date.
