Leighton Meester’s Rare Red Carpet Look Would Make Blair Waldorf Proud

A lot has changed in fashion since Leighton Meester starred as everyone’s favorite Upper East Sider in the CW’s Gossip Girl. But one thing that hasn’t changed is the actor’s uncanny ability to pull off a Blair Waldorf–approved look.
Meester ventured out for a rare red carpet appearance during a Calzedonia event at Milan Fashion Week. For the glamorous occasion, she opted for an off-white halterneck minidress by womenswear brand Camilla and Marc. The piece featured a plunging V-neckline, hidden front hook and eye clasps, and a sculpted flared waist silhouette. Meester finished off her look with transparent black tights from Calzedonia, as well as glossy black pumps and a cherry red mini purse from By Far.
As for the actor’s makeup look, she took a soft glam approach via sparkly pink eye shadow, rosy blush, and a glossy dark pink lip. She also swept her wavy brown hair up into a loose high bun.
Meester is often an elusive presence during red carpet events. She last made a red carpet appearance with her husband, Adam Brody, for the Los Angeles premiere of Warner Bros.’ Shazam! Fury of the Gods this past March. At the time, she wore a glittering gold maxi dress from the Vampire’s Wife, which included ruffles at the hem and at the ends of the mid-length sleeves. She paired the look with beige sandals by Manolo Blahnik, a black rectangular clutch by Jimmy Choo, and drop earrings.
Meanwhile, Brody wore a double-breasted navy suit, a crisp white button-down, and shiny maroon loafers.
