'Legally Blonde Jr.' cast takes the stage Friday and Sunday

FREMONT - Fremont Ross High School will perform "Legally Blonde Jr." at the Fremont Ross Performing Arts Center on Friday and Sunday. Directed by the Julie Zucker, the musical is for audience members of all ages.

"Legally Blonde the Musical Jr". follows the journey of Elle Woods, portrayed by Megan Sherman. Elle, a seemingly perfect sorority girl, sets her sights on winning back her ex-boyfriend, Warner Huntington III, played by Quentin O'Brien. However, Warner believes Elle's bubbly personality and blonde hair do not fit his ideal image of a future wife.

Determined to prove her worth, Elle surprises everyone by enrolling in Harvard Law School. Her ultimate goal is to show Warner − and herself − that she is capable of much more than meets the eye. As the story unfolds Elle's determination, humor, and transformation into a confident and empowered woman.

Director proud of student cast

"This is the best cast I have worked with they are very prepared, and I am excited to see the final results," Zucker said.

The cast and crew are preparing for parents' night and practicing one of the dance numbers, "What You Want." In addition to work in progress to bring the world of "Legally Blonde JR." to life, the dedicated team, including Brissy Moreno, has been trying to create a visually stunning backdrop for the performers.

Sharing space caused production delay

Despite some delays due to sharing space and materials with another production, the team remains committed to delivering a top-notch experience .

“The set work was delayed because we are sharing space and materials with St. Joe. Their production of "Beauty and the Beast" just closed Saturday night,” said Scott Havice, Ross High School science teacher.
