Before every single episode of College GameDay goes live on ESPN, Kirk Herbstreit interviews Lee Corso to get his thoughts on some of the top games in the country. This Saturday morning, Corso revealed his pick to win the national championship this season.

Herbstreit asked Corso if he believes the Georgia Bulldogs are currently better than the Alabama Crimson Tide. Despite his doubts about the Crimson Tide this year, Corso thinks they’re the best team in the country right now.

“No,” Corso replied. “I thought so, but nobody is better than Alabama.”

Then, Corso told Herbstreit that he envisions Alabama and Georgia meeting twice this season. He has Alabama winning the SEC Championship, but then losing the national championship game to Georgia.

“I can’t wait until they play, because here’s what I think is going to happen,” Corso said. “One team is going to win the SEC Championship, and then, they’re going to play them in the title and lose the second game. And I think it’s Georgia. Georgia, national champs.”

Alabama and Georgia have both looked extremely dominant this year, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them meet in the SEC Championship Game and the College Football Playoff.

The Crimson Tide will try to keep things rolling this Saturday against the Texas A&M Aggies. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, will try to stay perfect on the road against the Auburn Tigers.
