LeBron James has been around the NBA for nearly two decades, so he knows just how much the sport has changed over the years. With that being said, the four-time champion recently revealed his biggest issue with the current state of basketball.

On Friday night, James seemingly called out players who work on moves they’ll never actually use during a game.

“Why do so many ball players work on stuff they are never going to use in the game?? Seriously question,” James wrote. “Annoys me a tad.”

Some fans believe James is taking a shot at certain players, but he did a fine job of making sure his tweet was as vague as possible.

Even though James didn’t actually call out specific players, NBA fans have done their part trying to connect the dots. Several fans posted videos of Ben Simmons practicing 3-pointers at open gym runs, which is odd because he never actually attempts shots from beyond the arc during the regular season.

James has a solid relationship with Simmons, so the odds of him directing this tweet at the Sixers point guard is pretty slim.

Regardless of James’ motive behind this post, it’s always interesting to hear what he has to say about the game. After all, he knows what it takes to sustain an elite level of play for so many years.
