The Cleveland Browns suffered a heartbreaking road loss to start their season, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs 33-29 despite leading for most of the game. Among the many devastated fans is Ohio native and Browns fan, LeBron James.

Taking to Twitter after the game, LeBron needed only a gif to describe how he was feeling. It was a clip of actor JK Simmons yelling “Damn it.”

The message was received loud and clear. Thousands of Browns fans descended on his tweet, sharing their sympathies and commiserating with the former Cleveland Cavaliers superstar.

LeBron has had to endure some rough games as a Browns fan through the years. But tonight’s felt a bit different after their incredible 2020 season and the ensuing strong offseason.

The Cleveland Browns offense looked nigh unstoppable in the first half, scoring touchdowns on each of their first three drives. But the Chiefs responded in kind after conceding a 22-10 halftime lead.

They scored on four straight drives in the second half – one of which was aided by a botched punt that gave the Chiefs field position in the red zone.

After falling into a 33-29 deficit, the Browns tried to rally on two successive drives, but couldn’t break through.

The Browns now start their season at 0-1, but a bit demoralized after that brutal loss.

The season is just getting started though, so LeBron and the Browns fanbase should find other opportunities to celebrate down the line.
