LeBron James injury update: NBA star expected to play in Lakers-Grizzlies | Reports

LeBron James is expected to be available for the Lakers' Wednesday night game in Memphis against the Grizzlies, according to multiple reports.

James missed the Lakers' win on Tuesday night over the Bucks with an ankle injury. Chris Haynes of TNT reported on the broadcast that James was expected to be available for Wednesday's game, and ESPN's Dave McMenamin reported the same.

James was officially listed as questionable with right ankle peroneal tendinopathy. Fellow star Anthony Davis was also listed as questionable with left knee hyperextension. Davis played 52 minutes in the Lakers' double-overtime win over the Bucks on Tuesday night.

The Grizzlies have their own positive injury news heading into Wednesday night's game. Brandon Clarke has been out for more than a year after suffering an Achilles injury, but he's listed as questionable for Wednesday's game and could make his season debut.

The Lakers (40-32) are battling for a playoff spot in the Western Conference, while the Grizzlies (24-48) are headed for the NBA Draft lottery. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. at FedExForum.
