LeBron James, Anthony Davis listed as questionable with injuries for game with Pacers

INDIANAPOLIS -- Lakers All-Stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis are both listed as questionable with injuries for their game against the Pacers on Friday at 7 p.m. at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The Pacers, meanwhile, have a relatively clean injury sheet. Bennedict Mathurin is, obviously, still out with injury after season-ending surgery to a repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. The only other players listed on the report are their three two-way players who are spending their time with the Mad Ants.

James, the NBA's all-time leading scorer, is dealing with left ankle peroneal tendinopathy that has been a problem for most of the season. He did take part in Wednesday's game against Memphis, however, and posted a triple-double. Davis hyperextended his left knee against the Bucks on Tuesday in a game in which he scored 34 points and grabbed 23 rebounds and sat out Wednesday's game against Memphis.

James is averaging 25.3 points, 8.1 assists and 7.3 rebounds in his 21st season in the NBA. The four-time MVP was named an All-Star for the 20th time. Davis is averaging 24.7 points, 12.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocked shots per game and was named to his ninth All-Star Game.

Both have been particularly problematic for the Pacers this season. In the Lakers' win over the Pacers on Sunday in Los Angeles, Davis scored 36 points and grabbed 16 rebounds while James posted 26 points and 10 assists. In the In-Season Tournament finals in December in Las Vegas -- a game that doesn't count toward the regular season standings or statistics -- Davis scored 41 points and grabbed 20 rebounds while James had 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Lakers to the first championship in the event.

The Lakers will also be without forward Jarred Vanderbilt, who has been else since early February with a mid-foot sprain, guard Gabe Vincent, who had knee surgery earlier this year, and former IU star point guard Jalen Hood-Schifino, who had season-ending lumbar disc surgery.
