What we learned about Kansas City Chiefs in 31-17 road victory vs. Las Vegas Raiders

The Kansas City Chiefs’ offense experienced a revival.

And they perhaps also found their No. 1 receiving target outside of Travis Kelce.

Rashee Rice had career-highs with eight receptions for 107 yards with a touchdown, helping spur a Chiefs comeback in a 31-17 road victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Chiefs recovered from a disastrous start to tie the score at halftime.

Las Vegas went 75 yards on nine plays on its opening touchdown drive, then followed that later with a second-quarter Josh Jacobs 63-yard touchdown run to take an early 14-0 lead.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs back. KC scored on 71- and 79-yard TD drives on its next two possessions, with Mahomes throwing for 136 total yards in the first half.

The Chiefs’ offense remained efficient after the break. The biggest play, though, came on a third-and-6 early in the fourth quarter, as Mahomes found Rice coming across the field for a 39-yard touchdown to give the Chiefs a two-possession lead. Marquez Valdes-Scantling also helped the play with a critical block downfield.

The Chiefs were better following last Monday’s disappointing offensive showing in a 21-17 home loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Kansas City also scored in the second half — 17 points in Sunday’s outing — for the first time in three games.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce contributed six catches for 91 yards, while running back Isiah Pacheco added 89 all-purpose yards with two rushing touchdowns.

The Chiefs (8-3) will play at the Green Bay Packers at 7:20 p.m. Central Time on Sunday, Dec. 3.
