LCHS' Whitlee Blacklock, Lubbock-Cooper's Cal Ritz voted A-J athletes of the week

It was quite the week for Lubbock Christian sophomore Whitlee Blacklock. For the week on the softball field, she batted .700 with two doubles, two triples, a home run and eight RBI. She also won the 200 meters at the Smyer track meet and came in second in the Plains golf tournament. She amassed 47.8% of the vote to be named girls athlete of the week.

Cal Ritz, Sr., Lubbock-Cooper

Lubbock-Cooper senior Cal Ritz won the 200 at the Amarillo Relays track meet last week. He received 48.58% of the vote to earn male athlete of the week honors.
