'Law and Order: SVU' Fans Are Shocked By Mariska Hargitay's Daring Vacation Stunt

Mariska Hargitay is enjoying her time away from filming Law and Order: SVU, but it doesn't mean elements of her character Olivia Benson don't shine in real-life, too.

The actress spent the early part of the summer vacationing with her husband Peter Hermann in Italy, and she posted photos on Instagram to keep her fans updated on her time there. In one of the images shared on the social media platform, she showed off her aquatic motor skills by standing up on a jet ski zooming next to a cliff in the Mediterranean Sea. She seemingly enjoyed her time splashing in the international waters, thanks to an excited caption she wrote to accompany the summertime stunt.

"My happy place ♥️," she wrote on June 24. She also added a number of hashtags exemplifying her love for the sea, including "sea lover," "I sea you" and "sea life."

When Law and Order: SVU fans saw Mariska share snapshots from her European getaway, they couldn't get enough of them. What's more, many folks immediately thought she was daring for trying her hand at riding a jet ski in the waters off the Italian coast.

"Omg is that you?! Is there anything you can’t do?! That must be incredibly fun. I’ve never tried it but maybe I should someday!" one person wrote in the Instagram comments section. "That looks so breathtaking and mesmerizing! 😍," another added. "I’m living for these amazing vacation photos of yours 😍😍🔥🔥 I love this content ♥️♥️," a different follower declared.

While Mariska didn't reveal who took the photo of her in the water, it's likely her husband did due to his love of photography. He frequently snaps cool shots of his wife while on vacation, like he did when they traveled to France in July 2022. Although the picture made followers nervous for her safety, this time people just loved seeing her enjoy her time away from TV.
