Mother's Day is Sunday. If you're in for a last-minute gift for the weekend, there are plenty of local businesses that have you covered, offering flower bouquets, Springfield apparel and cocktail kits.

The News-Leader compiled a list of seven Springfield-based businesses offering the perfect gifts for our favorite moms.

The Plant Room, Hickory Lane Plants and Grow for Good 417

For moms who have a green thumb, you may consider purchasing a more long-term floral gift like a houseplant or starter for the garden.

The Plant Room has a variety of houseplants, clippings, pottery and other cute plant accessories for sale. Located at 1349 S. Glenstone Ave. Suite H is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hickory Lane Plants is hosting a pop-up on Mother's Day with La La Links, Soulful Clay Co. and Simply Better from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Throughout the weekend, the plant shop is also hosting a drawing for a free monstera Albo. Customers who make a purchase at the store over the weekend will be automatically entered to win. Located at 1938 S. Glenstone Ave. Suite D, Hickory Lane Plants is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday and Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ahead of Mother's Day, Grow for Good 417, which traditionally operates at Metro Eats, will be at home goods store Schofield + Gray in Fordland on Saturday.

5 Pound Apparel

If your mom enjoys being loud and proud about her love for Springfield and the Ozarks, consider stopping in at 5 Pound Apparel. The downtown merchant offers countless Springfield- and Ozarks-themed clothing and accessories, from t-shirt and ballcaps to jewelry and stickers.

For the upcoming holiday, 5 Pound Apparel is offering a Mother's Day Collection, available both in-store and online. The collection features keepsake candles, Morse code jewelry (spelling out "Mother, "Mama" and "Grandma") and clothing.

Located at 412 South Ave., 5 Pound Apparel is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

417 Cocktails

417 Cocktails offers products for any cocktail lover, ranging from mixology kits to bitters, oils, garnishes and bar tools. Or maybe your mom would be interested in a gift more intimate, like a private mixology class. A one-and-a-half to two-hour class, starting at $300, covers several different cocktail recipes, taught by 417 Cocktails owner Mandi Fritz.

417 Cocktails is located at 211 S. Market Ave. Suite 103 and open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Heirloom Candle Bar

If your mom is a fan of sweet-smelling homemade gifts, stopping in at Heirloom Candle Bar is a good option. Customers are able to choose both the vessel and scents of a unique candle they make in-house. Depending on the time of day, most candles are available for same-day pickup.

Or, if you think your mom would enjoy the candle-making process herself, make a reservation for the whole family on the Heirloom Candle Bar website.

BookMarx and Pagination Bookstore

For moms who enjoy snuggling up with a good book, BookMarx and Pagination Bookstore offer new and used titles for every type of reader. In addition to books, both stores feature fun merchandise, like t-shirts and tote bags, in addition to items like puzzles and posters. Both bookstores also offer gift cards, in case you'd prefer letting mom choose her next read.

BookMarx, located at 325 E. Walnut St., is open Monday from noon to 7 p.m. and Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Pagination, located at 1150 E. Walnut St., is open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Local Bevy

A contemporary collection of art, crafts and home décor, The Local Bevy has plenty of Mother's Day gift options, including cards, notebooks, stickers and reusable totes.

Located at 617 S. Pickwick Ave., The Local Bevy is open Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
