When is the last day of school for students in Brockton?

BROCKTON - The 2023-24 school year is winding down and families are looking ahead to summer break.

The last day of school for Brockton Public Schools was originally planned for June 18, but the date has changed due to school closures related to weather and facilities issues, BPS officials said.

Monday, June 17 and Tuesday, June 18 will now be regular school days for all schools in the district. All schools will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 for the Juneteenth holiday.

The last day of school for students in Brockton will either be June 20 or June 21, depending on the school. Here is the breakdown:

The following schools will have the last day of school and an early dismissal on Thursday, June 20:

  • Ashfield Middle School

  • East Middle School

The last day of the year for all other schools will be held on Friday, June 21 including:

  • North Middle School

  • Angelo Elementary School

  • Raymond Elementary School

  • George Global Studies School

2024-25 school calendar

According to BPS Director of Communications Jordan Mayblum, the 2024-25 school calendar "is close" to being finished. Once the calendar is finalized by the school committee, it should be posted on the school district website.
