Restaurateurs Moe Touffaha and Mike Issa and are busy preparing to open the doors to Wichita’s first Paris Baguette restaurant, which they’ll do on Thursday.

But that’s not the only move the duo is about to make. Next week, they plan to initiate the long-planned relocation of their IHOP restaurant at 3505 N. Rock Road.

Their plan is to close the IHOP in its current space on Monday and start the move to the new one, which is south of K-96 at 3151 N. Rock Road. They hope to be back up and running there by Friday, Nov. 18.

The duo announced in the summer of 2021 their intentions to move the restaurant to a strip center that at the time Touffaha had just purchased. The center sits on the site of the former Hooters restaurant on Rock Road, and Aspen Dental operates in the south 3,500 square feet.

The move, he said, would allow him to have slightly more space than the current location, which has been in business since 1999. He also said he thought the restaurant would be exposed to more traffic south of K-96.

The new restaurant will have all new furniture and equipment.

Touffaha owns 11 IHOP restaurants across the region, including the ones in Derby and at 11855 E. Kellogg. He’s also planning a new one near Oak Park Mall in Overland Park.
