Are the Raiders the favorites to land Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers? Latest odds

Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers is listed as the favorite to be the next Las Vegas Raiders quarterback.

DraftKings listed the Raiders as -390 favorites to land Rodgers in a trade with the Green Bay Packers.

If that happens, wide receiver Davante Adams would welcome his former teammate with open arms.

Rodgers’ future, however, is uncertain because he indicated Tuesday on “The Pat McAfee Show” that he will take time to think about what he’ll do next by going on a “darkness retreat” after the Super Bowl.

The Packers are listed by DraftKings as the next favorite at +300, followed by the New York Jets at +600.

The Raiders are in need of a quarterback after nine seasons with Derek Carr, who was benched for the final two games of the 2022 NFL season.

Carr played his last game as a Raider Sunday at the Pro Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Can a deal happen?

To acquire Rodgers, the Raiders will have to give up a couple of draft picks, perhaps spread over multiple years.

Adding a player or two already on the roster into the mix is not out of the question.

Though, the Raiders could have additional picks if they end up trading Carr. Carr will visit the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday, according to reports.

The Saints did acquire picks from the Denver Broncos in a deal for former coach Sean Payton.

The Raiders could get those picks and in turn send that to Green Bay.

In addition to the possible draft capital, Rodgers won’t come cheap when it comes to the salary cap. In 2022, he signed a three year, $150 million contract. He has a guaranteed option of $58.3 million in 2023, according to OvertheCap.

Trades can not be officially completed until the new league starts on March 13.
