Langston basketball live score updates vs Freed-Hardeman in NAIA championship game

For the first time in school history, Langston has reached the NAIA men's basketball championship game.

Cortez Mosley led all scorers with 14 points as first-seeded Langston defeated defending national champion College of Idaho 58-52 on Monday evening to advance to Tuesday night's final.

Although Langston (35-1) advanced to its first NAIA title game, head coach Chris Wright has previous experience in the position. Wright guided Talladega to finish as runner-up in the 2022 NAIA title game before taking over at Langston.

Langston will face Freed-Hardeman on Tuesday night at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo., trying to become the first HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) program to win an NAIA title since Texas Southern in 1977.
