HARTLAND - Lake Country Lutheran baseball coach David Bahr is no longer an employee of the school, according to a statement shared with the community.

The statement read in part:

This statement is to inform the community that effective April 26, 2024, as a result of the school's investigation, David Bahr is no longer employed at Lake Country Lutheran High School. As a matter of policy, the school will not provide further comment on a personnel matter.

The statement went on to reaffirm the high school's Christian values and asked for prayer for the community and its students. A school official declined additional comment on the nature of the investigation.

Bahr had coached LCL baseball since 2004 and taught in the district since 2003. In 2023, Bahr surpassed 500 career wins across his then 20 seasons at LCL and 16 years at Concordia Lutheran School in Indiana.

Bahr did not return a call requesting comment on the situation on Monday.
