Jason Momoa, Rachel Zegler and More Stars to Present at 2022 Academy Awards
With the 2022 Academy Awards fast approaching, another set of presenters have been announced. Josh Brolin, Jacob Elordi, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jason Momoa, Jill Scott, J.K. Simmons, Serena Williams, Venus Williams and Rachel Zegler will present at the 94th Oscars.
Previously announced presenters include Stephanie Beatriz, DJ Khaled, Jennifer Garner, H.E.R., Tiffany Haddish, Tony Hawk, Bill Murray, Elliot Page, Kelly Slater, Shaun White, Daniel Kaluuya, Mila Kunis, Lupita Nyong’o, Naomi Scott, Wesley Snipes, John Travolta, Ruth E. Carter, Anthony Hopkins, Lily James, John Leguizamo, Simu Liu, Rami Malek, Uma Thurman, Lady Gaga, Kevin Costner, Zoë Kravitz, Rosie Perez, Chris Rock, Yuh-Jung Youn, Halle Bailey, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jamie Lee Curtis, Woody Harrelson, Samuel L. Jackson, Shawn Mendes, Tyler Perry and Tracee Ellis Ross.
"Movies inspire us, entertain us and unite us across the globe," said show producer Will Packer in a press release. "That’s the precise goal of the show this year, and we’re thrilled to welcome the first of a stellar lineup joining the Oscars stage to help us celebrate the power of film and honor the year’s best in filmmaking."
A surprising snub from the Best Actress category for her House of Gucci performance this year, Gaga will return to the Oscars stage following her 2019 Best Original Song win for "Shallow" from A Star Is Born. Meanwhile, Youn was last year's Best Supporting Actress winner for her role in Minari. More presenters are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
The Power of the Dog leads the pack this year, with 12 total Oscar nominations including Best Picture, Best Director for Jane Campion and acting nods for Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons and Kodi Smit-McPhee. Other top-nominated films include Dune with 10, Belfast and West Side Story with seven apiece and King Richard with six.
The 2022 Oscars -- hosted by Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes -- air live on Sunday, March 27 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on ABC. In the meantime, stay tuned to ETonline.com for complete Oscars coverage.
