There could be 100 people in a room, and 99 people didn’t look at Lady Gaga with love and friendship in their eyes, but one did—and it was Bradley Cooper.

That magical moment happened last night at a special Los Angeles screening of Cooper’s new film Maestro. The A Star Is Born costars reunited on the red carpet, even matching in different designer suits for the rare joint appearance.

Gaga suited up in a spectacular Alexander McQueen set. This included a pair of straight-leg trousers and a single-breasted blazer with a plunging neckline. Silver sequins were embroidered into a floral design on the jacket. The singer, actor, and Haus Labs founder coordinated the look with black boots, further accessorizing with a black velvet clutch.

Meanwhile, Cooper—who directed Maestro and stars as legendary conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein—cut a suave figure in a sharp navy blue suit composed of a jacket, a vest layered over a white button-down and a black tie, and pleated pants. He finished off his ensemble with shiny black leather shoes.

On the carpet, the duo also posed with Carey Mulligan, who stars opposite Cooper in Maestro as Bernstein’s wife, Felicia Montealegre. For the premiere, Mulligan opted for an incredible Celine column gown with a dramatic draping off-the-shoulder detail. The dress twinkled all over with midnight blue sequins, perfectly coordinating with her sparkling diamond jewelry from Bulgari.

Gaga and Cooper famously developed a close bond during the making of 2018’s Oscar-winning A Star Is Born.

“Bradley Cooper believed in me for the role of Ally Maine in A Star Is Born,” Gaga later noted, during a 2021 appearance on Entertainment Weekly’s Awardist podcast. “It was the success of our artistic collaboration that landed me where I am now.”

Cooper had expressed the same sentiment in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “She’s just so terribly charismatic and beautiful,” he said. “When I met her, I thought, ‘If I can just harness that … then it’s just for me to mess up.’ But then, when we started working together, I realized, ‘Oh, oh, the sky’s the limit in terms of what she’s able to do and her commitment level.’”
