La Grange made the top 10 list of 'Most Charming Small Towns in Kentucky.' See where it landed
La Grange is no longer just "The Kindness Capital of Kentucky" — it's also one of the commonwealth's "Most Charming Small Towns," according to a new list from Southern Living.
La Grange came in at No. 9 on the list with the magazine describing it as "The Miss Manners of Small Towns."
The site said the towns on the list have a lot of history and make for a great weekend getaway, with this one being just minutes away from Louisville.

La Grange, which is in Oldham County, only has a population of 10,183 and is the "only town in the U.S. with a freight train running on its historic Main Street." Along with watching the train pass, the city has a lot of things to offer, including food, museums and shopping.
So what's the most charming small town, according to the magazine? Bellevue in Campbell County took the top spot thanks to being a "convenience city with the yesteryear charm of historic Kentucky river towns."
