KU and West Virginia fans send best wishes to coach Bill Self after health issue
Hours before the start of the first full day of the 2023 Big 12 men’s basketball tournament, the Kansas Jayhawks announced that coach Bill Self had been hospitalized.
KU said Self was “receiving great care at the University of Kansas Health System” and would miss a quarterfinal game against West Virginia in the Big 12 tournament because of “an illness.”
Fans from both schools shared their concern for Self, 60. On Twitter, Kansas and West Virginia supporters sent messages of support to Self.
