A survey crew discovered the remains of a missing KPMG executive near a Texas college more than six months after he vanished following a workout at LA Fitness.

Workers on Thursday found the body of James Alan White in a wooded area not far from Paul Quinn College around 12:30 p.m., according to the Dallas Police Department. The Dallas County Medical Examiner confirmed his identity the following day.

The 55-year-old was first reported missing on Oct. 22. He was last seen pulling out of an LA Fitness parking lot in a black 2020 Porsche Macan in the Uptown area of Dallas.

His family has also released surveillance video from a local Race Trac, where White can be seen pumping gas after his workout session around 6 a.m. He was still wearing his athletic wear, a red tank top and shorts.

Just days after his disappearance, authorities discovered his car in South Dallas, WFAA reported. His remains were found less than a mile away.

Rusty Jenkins, White’s partner of 18 years, told the station, he immediately began to search for his missing husband not long after he failed to return home.

“I got in the car at 7, drove the route back and forth trying to find him. Trying to find evidence of a wreck somewhere,” he said. “I was calling the hospitals trying to find out if there was an unidentified John Doe in any of the hospitals, because I didn’t know if he had his ID with him or not.”

Authorities have not released White’s cause of death.
