Kourtney Kardashian ‘Thinking of the Positives’ Amid Returning to Work Months After Son Rocky’s Birth

Kourtney Kardashian honestly addressed some of the struggles she has faced amid her return to work months after giving birth to her youngest son.
The media personality and her husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, welcomed their son, Rocky, in November. Rocky is the couple’s first child together, with his birth occurring less than two years after their marriage in 2022.
Kourtney, who also shares three children with her ex, Scott Disick, explained in a Saturday, May 4 Instagram post that she “was 3 months postpartum and not feeling quite ready for a big shoot” when she participated in a promotional photoshoot for The Kardashians.
Though Kourtney, 45, said Rocky was with her “all day” on the set as photos were taken for billboards and other promotional materials ahead of the show’s Season 5 premiere, “it’s not the same when I’m covered in makeup, in high heels and wearing a dress versus our snuggly days at home in pajamas.”
However, the mother of four said she attempted to change her perspective on her responsibilities and focus instead on “thinking of the positives!”
“I am so blessed to be able to bring my baby to work,” she wrote. "How fun to get to be glammed up when I’ve been home for months in pajamas. How blessed to get to work alongside my sisters and mom…we really have so much fun together! What a beautiful life!”
Her post included four behind-the-scenes photos from that promotional photoshoot and a short video clip showing her posing in front of a green screen. She wore what looked like one of her sister Kim’s SKIMS bodysuits in one of the photos. The others showed her wearing an off-the-shoulder form-fitting dress the color of light caramel that fell to the floor and featured long, billowy sleeves.
Kourtney shared the behind-the-scenes snapshots just a couple of days after the show’s official Instagram account shared a group photo of Kourtney with her four sisters and mother.
The Kardashians Season 5 will premiere on Thursday, May 23 on Hulu.
