Korean fries, taco cone and more: Check out the new foods at the Georgia National Fair

With more than 50 food vendors set up at the 2022 Georgia National Fair, there’s plenty of fair food choices from traditional turkey legs and corn dogs to cotton candy and funnel cakes.

Add to those favorites at least 20 new offerings from fair food vendors such as Cinna-Roll Mini Doughnuts from The Donut Family.

This delectable delight includes mini donuts rolled in cinnamon sugar with cinnamon cream cheese frosting, drizzled with icing and topped with The Donut Family’s homemade vanilla bean whipped cream.

Another newcomer to this year’s fair are Meester Mike’s Korean BBQ fries. These french fries are topped with kimchi and Korean BBQ.

The yummy concoction won the title of Best Savory Food from the judges in the 1st Annual Georgia National Fair Food Fight.

Meanwhile, the Best Sweet Food went to Polar Bear Ice Cream for its Southern Comfort Sundae.

This tasty treat is made with Polar Bear Ice Cream’s homemade sweet potato ice cream with torched marshmallow, waffles, brown sugar, maple syrup, candied bacon, strawberries and a pinch of cayenne pepper.

Fairgoers are invited to vote online for their favorite new fair food with more winners expected to be announced Friday. Vendors are open 10-10. The last day of the fair is Sunday.

Cinnamon Kettle Corn at Pop’s Concessions — Kettle corn with sweet cinnamon powder.

Deep Fried Cheeseburger at Rocker’s Roost Restaurant — Ground beef rolled flat filled with cheese rolled, dipped, battered and fried pickles. Hold the pickles if you’d like.

Doritos Nachos Pizza at Gillette’s Pizza & Lemonade — Gillette’s Pizza dough topped with chipotle ranch, fresh mozzarella and cheddar cheese, seasoned taco meat, Doritos and sour cream.

Fried Cheesecake at Gabby’s Dough Factory — Fried cheesecake on a stick.

Fruity Pebble Funnel Cake at Paulette’s Food Service — Funnel cake with powdered sugar, whipped topping Fruity Pebbles cereal and raspberry syrup.

Georgia Big Chick at The Biscuit Barn — Biscuit with chicken, gravy and fried egg.

Peach Cobbler Milkshake at Cox: GA Grown Main Concession — Sweet peaches and crispy cobbler mixed with vanilla ice cream.

Peach Fancy Fingers at Taylor’s Doughboy — A sweet dough cut into fingers topped with real butter powder sugar peaches then topped with whipped cream.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Fudge at Bruce’s Concessions — This classic duo in fudge.

Smothered Covered Onion at Griff’s Onion & Veggies — Onion covered with ribbon sweet potatoes, pickles, jalapenos, cheese and bacon bits.

Taco Cone at The Fiesta Grill — Deep fried cone with seasoned beef topped with fresh veggies and salsa.
