What to know about the weather forecast for Memorial Day weekend in Erie

The National Weather Service in Cleveland's forecast for the holiday weekend, as of Wednesday, included both sun and rain for Erie.

Start of the weekend

Things should get off to a good beginning with sunny conditions and high temperatures in the 70s on Friday, according to the NWS forecast online on Wednesday.

Saturday

The forecast for Saturday contained a chance of showers with the possibility of thunderstorms as well. But there was also a hint of some sun and a high in the low 70s.

Sunday

Conditions were looking better for Sunday, with the NWS calling for mostly sunny skies, no rain until the night and a high near 70.

The holiday

Showers were projected as likely Monday, with possibly a thunderstorm, but the NWS said Memorial Day could also be partly sunny, with a high approaching 70.
