In the first season of the U.S. version of the The Traitors, 10 reality TV celebrities faced off against 10 normies in a murderous game for $250,000. The Peacock exclusive was such a sensation that not only did the streamer greenlight a second season, but it also imported some international versions of the show to tide viewers over.
The season for sweaters, beanies and floor-length cloaks is at hand and so too is the reality competition show's second season. Will there be a Season 2 of The Traitors?
Yes! In February 2023, following the success of the original season, Peacock announced that it would be renewing the U.S. version of the show for a second season.
When does The Traitors Season 2 premiere?
We don't know exactly when Season 2 of the U.S. version of The Traitors will premiere. The first season dropped all at once on Peacock in January 2023, and since reality competition shows release seasons once a year, it would make sense that Season 2 would launch sometime during the winter of 2024.
Where is The Traitors filmed?
The first season of the U.S. version of The Traitors was filmed at Andross Castle in the Scottish highlands. This is the same location where the U.K. version of the show is filmed. The 19th-century castle also boasts sprawling grounds which are used in many of the shows challenges.
When was The Traitors Season 2 filmed?
We have no official word on if or when Season 2 of The Traitors has filmed or will be filming. For Season 1, the U.S. version of The Traitors was filmed directly after the U.K. version using the same set and crew. It's likely that Season 2 will be filmed in the sequence.

Since The Traitors was renewed by Peacock, it's most likely that Season 2 will drop on the streaming service like the show's first season. However, with the SAG and WGA strikes pushing scripted shows off lineups, its possible that NBCUniversal could shift streaming content to one of its network channels.
How does The Traitors Season 2 work?
While we know the rules of Season 1, it's entirely possible that the rules of Season 2 may have changed, especially since the U.S. version of the show varies a bit from its international predecessors. That being said, it will probably follow a similar format. A group of contestants (either celebrities, regular people or a combination of both) will enter the Scottish mansion where one group will be designated as "traitors." The remaining players will be the "faithful." Each week the traitors will be given the opportunity to "murder" one of their fellow players, eliminating them from the game. Then at the end of each week, the remaining contestants will vote to "banish" one of the remaining players in hopes of eliminating a traitor. Along the way, the group will amass a prize pot of cash in challenges. At the end of the game if the faithful have eliminated all the traitors, they will split the prize pot, but if a traitor remains, they will take home the whole pot.
Who is the cast of The Traitors Season 2?
The cast of Season 2 has yet to be released. The first season's cast was comprised of half reality TV show contestants and half normal people. However, international seasons have started with only one group or the other, so it remains to be seen who will compose the Season 2 cast.
