The focus all season for the East Lansing boys basketball team has centered around trying to become a state champion.

It's why Trojans coach Ray Mitchell put together a challenging schedule that provided challenges against teams like Orchard Lake St. Mary's, Warren Lincoln, Saline and River Rouge in addition to their tests in the CAAC Blue.

Division 1 No. 3-ranked East Lansing (20-2) will try to use the lessons gained from a strong regular season as it begins the road to Breslin Center at Mason High School.

East Lansing, which reached the state quarterfinals last season, is the top seed in Greater Lansing's most power-packed district. Joining the Trojans and host Mason in the field are Okemos, Holt and Everett.

Okemos (18-4) and Mason (20-2) were among Greater Lansing's top teams during the regular season and will meet in a semifinal. Okemos, the No. 2 seed for the district, finished as the CAAC Blue runner-up. Mason, the CAAC Red champion, heads into the district as one of the area's hottest teams and won 14 straight to close the regular season.

Holt (9-13) and Everett finished in the bottom half of the CAAC Blue and will play in the district opener. Holt pulled off upsets last season over Okemos and Mason while claiming a district title on its home floor.

Here is a look at each of the other districts featuring teams from Greater Lansing.
