Klobuchar, Ilhan Omar post steamy photos of firefighters at Minnesota State Fair

Minnesota Democrats Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Rep. Ilhan Omar raised eyebrows on Friday, posting photos of themselves with shirtless firefighters on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

The lawmakers apparently visited a pavilion set up by the Minnesota AFL-CIO at the Minnesota State Fair, which began Thursday and ends on Labor Day, according to its website.

“State Fair pro tip: You don’t want to miss the Minnesota firefighters at the @MNAFLCIO,” Klobuchar’s caption on her post featuring multiple buff firemen.

“Can confirm,” Omar’s caption on her post read.

Social media users responded with enthusiasm to the eye-catching posts. Ali Vitali, a journalist for NBC, called Klobuchar’s post “iconic,” in a response on X.

“This is the day she became my president,” comedian Samantha Bee said in her own response to Klobuchar’s.

“[L]ove to see our lawmakers support first responders,” one X user commented.
