Kirk Herbstreit Releases His New College Football Top 6
ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit has updated his personal rankings following the conclusion of Week 4.
Week 4 was an eventful one. While the schedule didn’t look incredibly appealing on paper, it delivered when the games kicked off.
There were several notable results, including Clemson getting upset by N.C. State, Arkansas knocking off Texas A&M and Notre Dame throttling Wisconsin.
Herbstreit took to Twitter on Sunday morning to update his rankings. Here’s where things stand for the ESPN college football analyst four weeks into the season:
Alabama
Georgia
Oregon
Penn State
Cincinnati
Florida
What a weekend of CFB games!!
After the 1st month of the season this could be the toughest “top 4 + next 2” I’ve had to come up with. As we approach October next weekend.

It’s tough to argue with the top two spots. Alabama and Georgia have looked like the country’s two best teams by a decent margin all season long.
It gets interesting after that. However, Oregon has a big win on the road at Ohio State, while Penn State is undefeated with a couple of nice wins.
ESPN’s Football Power Index model released its new top 25 poll earlier on Sunday.
