Kim Scott, ex-wife of Eminem, hospitalized after attempting suicide: report
The ex-wife of hip hop star Eminem was recently taken to a hospital after attempting suicide in Michigan, according to a report.
Authorities found Kim Scott with multiple small cuts on her leg and needed to restrain her when they arrived at her home on July 30, TMZ reported Wednesday.
The officials, which included police, had responded to the scene after receiving a report of a suicidal person, according to the news site.
Scott, who was reportedly taken to the undisclosed medical center to receive medical and psychological evaluations, has since returned home.
Scott, 46, and Eminem, 48, were initially married from 1999 to 2001. They got married again in 2006 and divorced again later that year.
Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, has not publicly commented on Wednesday’s report.
The rapper — known for songs such as “The Real Slim Shady” and “Lose Yourself” — met Scott in high school. He and Scott welcomed their daughter Hailie in 1995.
Scott has been the subject of several Eminem songs during their tumultuous on-and-off again relationship over the years.
