Remember when Kim Kardashian got flour bombed at her perfume launch back in 2012? Everyone was upset on her behalf, Kim described the moment as "the craziest" and most "unexpected" thing that's happened to her, and Kourtney tweeted "Classy to flour bomb my sister at her charity event helping women. I wonder if they would have dared thrown the flour at my hormonal and pregnant self!"

But yeah, apparently it was a PR stunt. Kim's former media strategist Sheeraz Hasan confirmed as much in the new documentary, The Kardashians: A Billion Dollar Industry, saying the stunt was fully planned to promote Kim's fragrance.

“Okay this is what’s going to happen, you’re going to be fine, you’re going to be safe, but we’re going to create a media moment,” Hasan recalled telling Kim, via Complex. “If we create media gold, guess what’s going to happen? Everyone’s going to be talking about your perfume, everyone’s going to buy it.”

The incident was covered in Keeping Up with the Kardashian, where Kim speculated it was the work of an anti-fur demonstrator due to someone shouting "fur hag."

"So I'm doing the red carpet and all of a sudden I get this powder all over me and I'm so shocked..." she said. "Now I've definitely experienced my fair share of haters, but I don't want to ruin the night just because this anti-fur organization tried to ruin our event with this flour bomb."

Peta denied involvement at the time, saying in a statement to TMZ "PETA has tried everything from polite letters to public protests, but Kim Kardashian has not been moved by the news that animals are beaten, electrocuted, and even skinned alive for real fur garments. Whoever threw that flour may reach her when our polite appeals did not."
