Spoilers ahead for the first two episodes of the Afterparty season two.

The Afterparty is back, and with it, another twisty murder mystery—this time set at a wedding.

Zoë (Zoë Chao)'s sister Grace (Poppy Liu) is marrying Edgar (Zach Woods). But on the morning after their wedding, he turns up dead—likely poisoned. Who did it? The only character we can definitively rule out is Detective Danner (Tiffany Haddish), who isn't present for the events of the wedding. We can also likely rule out Aniq (Sam Richardson) and Zoë, who reach out to Danner to get her to solve it. If they were the murderers, would they really want a detective involved?

As Vivian Wu, who plays Grace's mom Vivian, tells Town & Country, season two is "very witty, hilarious, and it's super intelligent. I challenge the audience to join us and figure out this bunch of people. Among us there is a killer. Are you smart enough to figure out who?"

Here, the eight suspects who could've killed Edgar:

Grace

the afterparty season 2
Zach Woods and Poppy Liu as the newlyweds. Could the bride have murdered her groom?Colleen Hayes

The first suspect is Grace, the bride. After all, Aniq spotted her putting something into Edgar's drink. Could she have poisoned her groom-to-be to get out of the marriage? Edgar's mother, Isabel, accuses Grace, saying, "Grace only met my sweet boy six months ago. Obviously she married him for his money and then poisoned him on his wedding night." In episode two, however, viewers learn that Grace was putting Adderall in Edgar's drink so he could stay up late, thus ruling her out (probably).

Isabel

Isabel is the first to say her son (and his lizard) were poisoned. After she accuses Grace then plans to call the sheriff, however, Sebastian pulls her aside and they whisper, and then decide not to call the cops yet. What is Isabel hiding?

Hannah

Anna Konkle (right) as Hannah in The Afterparty.Colleen Hayes

It's clear Hannah didn't want the wedding to happen. Would she have killed to stop it from happening?

Travis

Grace's ex boyfriend is just an odd guy. Why is he even at the wedding? He tells Aniq that they have to "save Grace" in episode one, and in episode two, Grace remembers him saying, "I know what you've done. And I won't let you do it to Grace. You're going to die tonight!" But would he go so far as to actually kill Edgar? Travis is also the first one to Grace and Edgar's door when she discovers him dead.

Sebastian

Sebastian doesn't want to notify the cops after Edgar is found murdered. Very suspicious! He also seems to be an antagonist to Aniq.

Ulysses

Grace's estranged funcle (fun uncle, obviously) makes a surprise appearance at the wedding. What is he doing there? Why did he leave? When he arrives he says, "Normally, when one of these ultra-rich Earth rapers shows up on my proverbial doorstep, I try to take him down, not lift my glass to him, but I hear he makes my Grace happy. However, if you break her heart, I will slice your throat with the curved blade of my Yemeni jambiya."

Meta theory, too: John Cho is one of the more famous members of the cast. Would he only sign on if he could play the murderer? Hmmm....

Feng

the afterparty season 2
Edgar points a finger at Feng, played by Ken Jeong. Aaron Epstein

Grace's dad, while being intense about his Taiwanese shaved ice business and annoyed with Ulysses's appearance, does not seem fishy. Yet!

Vivian

Vivian doesn't feature much in the first two episodes, but she's still a suspect.
