The Princess of Wales, 40, arrived for the Thursday, December 15, event with the Prince of Wales, also 40, and their two eldest children. George, 9, walked alongside his mother, while Charlotte, 7, held hands with her dad as the foursome entered Westminster Abbey. (William and Kate’s youngest son, Prince Louis, 4, seemingly stayed home.)

The family coordinated their outfits, with the Duchess of Cambridge and Charlotte matching in burgundy coats while William and George looked sharp in black coats and dark suits.

The duchess hosted her first Christmas concert last year, dedicating it to first responders and organizations across the United Kingdom who supported the country during the coronavirus pandemic. During the 2021 event, however, all of the Cambridge children stayed at home.

This year’s concert coincided with the release of part two of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s docuseries, Harry & Meghan, which dropped on Netflix earlier on Thursday. In the show’s final three episodes, the Duke of Sussex, 38, and the former actress, 41, detailed where things stand with William and Kate following their January 2020 decision to step down as senior members of the royal family.

Meghan, for her part, said that she was glad she and Harry decided to step back for their own well-being. “It’s amazing how things come full circle that you never think about,” the Bench author told the cameras.
