Kevin Hart is one of the highest paid comedians in the world, but he says no amount of fame and fortune can compete with his greatest joy: fatherhood.
“There’s nothing better or more exciting for me in life than being a father to Heaven, Hendrix, Kaori and Zo,” Hart said during a January 2024 interview on Today With Hoda & Jenna before joking that his family hadn’t danced in “weeks” following his beloved Philadelphia Eagles’ loss in the NFL playoffs.
Hart became a father for the first time in 2005 when he and then-wife Torrei welcomed their daughter, Heaven. Now 18, Heaven was instrumental in helping her dad realize how badly he’d messed up when he cheated on second wife Eniko Hart in 2017.
“When your child shows disappointment, shows emotion, shows ‘I don’t understand why,’ and you have to have those conversations … head drops for the first time,” he explained during a 2021 interview on Red Table Talk. “Now you’ve realized there’s a different emotional cord that could be pulled on you that nobody else has the privilege of ever touching. My daughter touched on that.”

Kevin shares his eldest daughter, Heaven, and eldest son, Hendrix, with ex-wife Torrei Hart. The former couple tied the knot in 2003 and filed for divorce seven years later. Years after their split, Kevin said that he and Torrei “had to learn how to be friends again” for the sake of their kids.
“You get better. I can credit my ex-wife on growth. Myself too,” he said during a 2022 episode of The Pivot Podcast. “It’s not about us, right? There’s a period where your flight blurs things. To the world of raising kids, you gotta realize that ain’t got nothing to do with the shit that we had, and through the course of the years we’ve gotten better. We’ve become friends, right?”

Eniko Hart
Kevin shares son Kenzo and daughter Kaori with second wife Eniko Hart (née Parrish), whom he wed in 2016. Kevin and Eniko began dating in 2009 while he was still married to Torrei, but he has said that he and Torrei were already separated by the time he started his new relationship.
One year after their wedding, Kevin and Eniko faced further tension when Kevin was caught in a cheating scandal. Eniko ultimately forgave him, and he’s since said that the incident helped him learn to appreciate what he has. “The tests we’ve passed made us love each other even more. It made us understand our bond even more,” he told People in 2018. “The money, the entertainment, the movies, it’s great, those are blessings, but the level that I’ve reached from a happy standpoint, that woman is 100 percent responsible for it.”

Heaven Hart, born March 22, 2005, is the eldest child of Kevin Hart and his first wife, Torrei Hart. Hendrix Hart
Born on Nov. 8, 2007, Hendrix Hart is the eldest son of Kevin and Torrei. When Kevin married Eniko in 2016, Hendrix, then 8, served as his dad’s best man. “My son is my best friend—at the age [of] 8,” Kevin said during a 2016 interview with Howard Stern. “That’s my guy, man.”
Kenzo Kash Hart
Kevin and second wife Eniko welcomed their first child together, son Kenzo on Nov. 21, 2017. After Kenzo’s birth, Kevin said he thought his youngest son favored him rather than Eniko. “My genes are strong!” he quipped to Extra.
Kaori Mai Hart
Kevin became a father of four on Sept. 29, 2020, with the arrival of daughter Kaori. After Kaori’s birth, Kevin joked that he didn’t want to become a “jaded dad” after welcoming four kids. “Once you get home and you really get a look at everybody together, that's when it sets in,” he told Extra after one month with Kaori. “When you look and you go, 'Wow, we're a family of six. When you throw the dogs in, it's eight.' For me, it's [about] creating and building a legacy within my family that lives with or without me.”
