Kid Rock’s restaurant cited for failing to comply with coronavirus guidelines

It’s the simple things in life, like wear a mask.

Kid Rock’s Nashville restaurant has gotten its summer off to a rocky start after authorities cited the business last Saturday night for failing to comply with coronavirus regulations, according to the Nashville Tennessean.

An image apparently showing a crush of unmasked crowds at the “All Summer Long” singer’s saloon circulated on social media.

The Metro Public Health Department said it issued a citation to Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk & Rock ‘n’ Roll Steakhouse — not a typo — because people failed to socially distance at the establishment, the Tennessean reported.

Brian Lewis, a lawyer representing Kid Rock, said he would fight the fine and described it as “selective prosecution,” according to The Associated Press. The restaurant was one of 14 businesses cited for noncompliance over the weekend.

Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk & Rock ‘n’ Roll Steakhouse — still its real name — occupies two floors in downtown Nashville.
