KFC is saying goodbye to some menu favorites in favor of a “simplified” ordering experience.

The changes are set to roll out at KFC restaurants in the coming months as the Kentucky-based chicken chain makes room for “new, exciting additions” to menus nationwide, according to a news release.

KFC hopes the streamlined options will make it easier for customers to decide their order, making for a faster and more efficient process.

Here’s what’s leaving the menu:

  • Kentucky Fried Chicken Wings

  • Popcorn Chicken

  • Nashville Hot Sauce

  • Strawberry Lemonade

  • Chocolate Chip Cookies

“We took a deep look at the mix of the menu to see where consolidation would make sense, and we rolled out new menu boards in November 2022,” Brittany Wilson, director at KFC U.S., told McClatchy News in a statement. “Though we are removing a few items, it will allow us to make room for some new, exciting additions to the menu in 2023.”

Earlier this month, KFC launched a revamped version of their fan-favorite chicken wraps after their nearly 10-year hiatus, McClatchy News reported.

The all-new KFC Chicken wraps are available for a limited time and feature “a hand-breaded Extra Crispy Tender, crunchy pickles and creamy mayo, wrapped up in a warm tortilla.”

The iconic KFC Chizza also made a comeback in January, according to a news release. The pizza-inspired entree comes with “two zinger fillets of crispy chicken, topped with delectable pizza sauce, molten cheese, a smattering of onions and mixed peppers, finished with an herb sprinkle.”
