Kevin Hart Explains Why You May See Him Out in a Wheelchair Soon

Kevin Hart is "sitting [his] ass down!"

The comedian found himself in a little bit of physical trouble recently, and he's warning his fans that there's nothing to be concerned about before they see the results for themselves.

He took to Instagram on Aug. 23 to share a selfie-style video shot on his back patio where he broke down his current situation, revealing that a bet with former New England Patriot Steven Ridley landed him a stint in a wheelchair.

"44 and sitting my ass down!!!!! I got to be the dumbest man alive!!!!!" he wrote in the caption of the clip. "What the f--k am I doing???? I blew my shit….I’m done. FML."

He began by advising all of his followers over the age of 40 to respect their ages. "...the age 40 is real," he warned, adding, "Respect that age, or that age will make you respect it."

He continued, "This is just a public service announcement because I know people may see me out and I don't want you to be alarmed, but I'm in a wheelchair."

Why, you may ask? Because Hart "tried to jump out there and do some young stuff."

"I tried to go out there and do some young man stuff, and I was told to sit my ass down," he said. He and the former running back got into a heated debate about which one of them was faster, leading them to compete against one another in the 40-yard dash.

"40-yard dash!" he emphasized, before admitting, "Guys, I blew all my shit. Tore my lower abdomen, my abductors are torn—I don't even know what that is, but I tore'em! I tore those too. I can't walk. Sittin' my ass down."

The Rock was there to assuage his embarrassment, sharing, "In [sic] tore my adductor off my pelvis during a wrestling match. True story. You’ll be fine. You’ll grow a 3rd ball but you’ll be fine 😂. Heal up 💪🏾."

Will Smith also sympathized, agreeing, "Getting older is REAL!! Heal Up, Kev!!"
